It's only been... the entire game... but look, Yasu died in week 3, okay, it's not (totally) his fault.

Still, he does make it a point to go out of his way to find Ion, giving him a warm smile whenever he tracks him down.]

I wanted to thank you in person, for looking out for Okita-kun. [Naturally.] And for writing to me, I appreciated that.

I'm not sure I did much in the way of looking out for him, in truth, but I will admit that I did try my best...

[ everyone kept telling him to look after someone or other and he. surprised himself by trying, a little, it turns out. ]

Please think nothing of it. I figured that even if you hadn't been inclined to respond, someone else might be able to use the owl.

It's all right. I would have tried to watch over him regardless, and he did at least say to me after the first time that he would inform me before doing anything reckless...

I thought I might not have been doing enough, or I was too distant-- but perhaps in reality I should be glad I managed to get that much at all from him?
