week 1, day 1 - Kyouka

[Yasusada spent most of his free time last week trailing after Okita Souji, like a mildly confused puppy dog. But the rest of the time, he's been happy enough to spend in his own dormitory, and though they haven't spoken much, he likes Kyouka perfectly well. Given that she's also earned Souji's approval, it's probably no surprise that he seeks her out as soon as he sees her tapestry, concern written all over his face.]

Kyouka-kun? Are you okay?

[ Kyouka is on edge because why wouldn't she be? They haven't been here long enough for a pattern to be established, but after what happened to last week, she's on high alert.

It doesn't show much on her face itself, but it's in the way she holds herself. There is darkness lurking within her, and it's simmering. ]

Yes. I'm not hurt.

[ Her words are a little more clipped than usual, almost imperceptibly so. ]

[Yasusada isn't one for such subtlety, though he spends time around many who are, and he's grown accustomed to recognizing shifts like this. He doesn't comment on it, though--it's understandable that she's tense, after all.]

You don't feel any different? Nothing at all?

[ She stops herself from saying no because that's not quite right. ]

I feel like I have to trust people less.

[ How much is that the buds of paranoia, and how much is that because of what a bleeding tapestry can mean? ]

[Yasusada nods slowly; he doesn't look surprised, but then, who would be? So far, their only experiences with the tapestries have involved murder and death.]

Do you have a plan to stay safe? Some way to defend yourself? [He'd read her information, of course, and he'd like to think she could handle herself, but... anything is possible in a place like this, it seems.]
