[ANYWAY Yams will mostly give Evan space after the trial!! But once he's settled in the cabin, he'll make his way there--he nods at Stephanie, and doesn't ask her to leave.]

[He looks, probably unsurprisingly, incredibly upset! For a variety of reasons. He blinks when Yasusada comes in, though, standing up from his place on the bed.]

[It's a little bit shaky, but he's happy for the company, honestly. He doesn't ask Stephanie to leave, either, though.]

[Lili, Kara, Tonbo, all of them would easily say the same.

But so Eli doesn't have to suffer through a 50th round of "I'm sorry"s--he lifts his hands, letting them hover uselessly in the air before he drops them again, and looks at Evan through his bangs.]

[That's true... Yasusada nods. He's not the best at offering comfort, but he tries--he reaches out to hold onto Evan's sleeve, careful not to touch his skin.]

[He isn't naive enough to think they'll say "Hey here's a way to save Evan!!!" but. The sooner they get answers, the sooner they might be able to rescue him, and he wants Evan to know they won't just sit and do nothing.]

[He lets go, then, extra careful. He doesn't think Evan would appreciate getting stuck together like this now. He'll leave him to Steph's care in a little bit, since he's sure other people want to visit too, but--]

...Is there anything you want? I can try to get it for you.

[He wants to do something useful, no matter how insignificant.]

[His first inclination is to say that there's nothing, but - that sounds a little bit cold. The problem is that there's nothing much he wants that Yasusada can actually give him, so after a moment, voice catching slightly:]
