-Tennen Rishin Ryu is a school of bujutsu (comprehensive martial arts), which includes kenjutsu (sword art), iaijutsu (art of sword drawing), jujutsu (unarmed grappling art), bojutsu (staff art), etc. etc. A BUNCH OF STUFF
-Every technique is designed to defeat an opponent (shinaigeiko) as opposed to focusing on kata
-Despite being codified as a comprehensive martial system (sōgō bujutsu), a practitioner of the school was not requested to learn all three (kenjutsu, jujutsu and bojutsu). One could freely choose the art that suited them the most
-Known for using very heavy bokuto (practice swords) in training (thus making it easier to use a real sword/move more quickly with it, since it would feel lighter in comparison)
-Particularly suited for group fighting techniques (list of techniques)
